Just thoughts

It's been awhile, Haven't had much to talk a bout lately.I have a workshop tomorrow which is just about ready to go, cardstock has been cut an refrshments have been bought. I have three people that are coming, all RSVP's had to be in today. I had 5 that couldn't make it, and about 5 who didn't respond either way I will assume they aren't coming. A little discouraged. Well anyways the workshop will go on and we will be making 2 Valentine's Day cards and a Valentine's day topper to go onto a baggie filled with Hershey Kisses. Dreary Day

Today is a dark dreary day and the weather is blah we' re due for freezing rain and sleet and boy is it cold. Today is an important ball game so we will be in tuned to the Patriots later on. Not really a football fan but I do like it when we start to get to the playoffs for the Superbowl, I guess you can call me a fair weather fan besides when you live with a husband and two boys you learn to enjoy the game. It's not so bad. It's a good day to stay in. Later I will do some stamping.

Tomorrow it's back to work . The kids are off from school so they get to sleep in lucky them. Hopefully th roads will be o.k. to travel on by tomorrow morning.

I'm expecting my big SU order tomorrow also, I hope it will still get to me. I can't wait. I'll be able to play after work possibly and then I have Tuesday off. Also I have a couple of 40% coupons for Michaels. I really want to get a cuttlebug with one of them and the other I could pick up a couple of the plates or folders that are used with it. Is it hard to work with? Any advice would be appreciated. I've seen so many beautiful creations using it . It kind of looks complicated.

I really want to get some things on my blog page also. I would love to have a calendar and still need to learn how to add links. I would love to put a photo in my profile also but have no clue how to. Tried it a few times but had no luck. Well time for kick off til next time, thanks for stopping by.

Supplies will be on time

Today I finally got confirmation rom SU that my huge order will be arriving on the 15th . Glad to know this because I need some of the supplies for my workshop that I will be having on Sat. Jan 27. I was getting a little nervous.Whew

Stamping again an loving it.

Well I have finally had time to stamp again. I'm so excited. Right now I am finishing up my step daughter's wedding photos that they had sent us. I always find scrapbooking a challenge, I'm not real quick to come up with ideas for this. I need practice. It taks me a long time to finish just one page. One of my New Year's Resolutions I think will be to start including a scrapbook page into some of my workshops and Technique classes that I hold once a month. Who knows maybe I'll reach some new people who would prefer to do scrap booking. Til next time, thanks for reading.

Playing wih colors and new stamp set

I got this stamp set for a Christmas present from SU and wanted to play. So this is what I came up with while playing with new set and experimenting with some colors. I think it came out pretty well considering I was just fiddling around while hubby watches the football games.

I used cool carribean,pink passion, black and glossy white cardstock. Ink was pink passion. Black gingham ribbon dimsionals all from SU. The prima was from Target. I love these primas. Need to get more. Pretty simple to create, cutting the panels took a little time but not too much.
Technique was DTP.

High School Musical coming to Samost

Well my son as been in auditions for High School musical which the samoset school in Leominster,Ma will be doing. He's been auditioning since Tues. Finally today they got the results. He tried out for the part of Ryan but didn't get that one but he did get the part of Zeek. He is thrilled and I'm so happy for him. He really needs this to boost his self esteem. He gets teasd and made fun of a lot in school from other kids and he has been depressed. He was a straight A student and his marks have gone down. Maybe this will help him get back on track. Here's hoping anyway. I'm just excited for him. Til next time.

Oh there's where my smiley ended up. I just tried to use Smiley Central. It' not exactly where I wanted it but it will do. I'll have to practice with hat a little more.

Happy New Year!


The beginning of a New Year. I'm so excited because I just put in a big order to Stampin' Up this afternoon. It's like another Chistmas he he. Now I have to sit and wait, and from what I've read there is a slight delay on shipping, oh well.

Got some stamping time in last night. I love the polka dots and paisley stamp set that I recieved from SU. It's really versatile.

Went to Target tonight with my hubby because we had recieved a gift card for Christmas and we got some things, then I made the mistake of going into the scrapbooking section and found Primas. I was so excited. I didn't own any and loved them and was wandering where I could get some. Now I do own some. There were so many diferent colors in bottles it must have taken me a half hour to decide. I was narrowed down to the aquas, pale yellow, a lt green and a white or an olive green, burgandy,pink, and a rose. I chose the aquas, pale yellow, white, and lt green but then had second thoughts and just decided to get both lol. oh well. There are also some bright ones which i'm probably going to have to go back and get before they are gone.

3 days bfore Chistmas

I can't believe we are this close to Chistmas. I 'm finally done all my finals and am now officially on break. Now tonight I have to finish shopping. It is going to be a zoo out there. I finally got all my Christmas cards made and are mailed out yippee. I still have one name frame left to do, hopefully I get to it tonight. I've been enjoying the Christmas movies that have been on. I love those sappy feel good Christmas movies. Anyways I want to wish you and your families a very merry and safe Christmas. Don't know if I'll gt to blog unil atr Christmas. Enjoy!

Another card that we created during the Christmas in July Workshop

Gotta love this snowman. I love snowmen, hate Winter but love snowmen and peguins. Gotta get myself a penguin stamp set.

The colors I used here was sage shadow,rose red and what I had left of bravo burgandy.

Here Is another card I made. This will be one of my Chritmas cards that I will be sending out. I cased this from Stamping Success but used slightly diferent purples. In the scan it looks more like a blue though.Don't ya think? Maybe just to me .

Here is a quick and simple card that we made during one of the technique classes using the Holiday Thyme designer paper from SU.

I can't believe we are this close to Christmas already. I still haven't finished my Christmas shopping and our tree is up and boxes of decorations are cluttering my living room, waiting to be attached to our tree. I can't wait until this week is over. We are finishing up finals and then I can get to bussiness and stamping. I litterally can't wait. In the mean time I will upload some of my other Christmas cards only if this works. I hope it does.

Don't You Just Hate....?

Don't you just hate when you study for somting and you know you know it but when it comes to taking that test you mess up. I studied all weekend for a test I had to take on the nervous system today. I knew all the cranial nerves in order and when it came to the test the teacher missed 2 so I figured she wouldn't put it in order so I ended up messing the entire question up. It was in order and I knew them, that's what I get for looking too much into some questions, so I'm sure my grade won't be great. I'll be kicking myself for the rest of the week. On the other han we are almost done, wo more weeks hurray !
I still have yet to start my Christmas shopping, I'm so behind. I don't get out of school unil the 19 so it is hard to concentrate on Chistmas when all these finals are going to come up. I still have Christmas cards to make and name frames. The tree and decorations probably won't get up until after the 19th. I'm still waiting for a list from each of my boys for ideas. They won't get everything on that list but at least it gives me an idea of what to get them. They are more dificult to buy for now, they are 13 and 15. I'm open to suggestions, anyone? Any ways I'm venting thanks, somtimes I need that. Til next time. Have a good night

Thanksgiving Eve

Well here it is Thankgiving Eve. I can't believe how quickly the holidays have snuck up on us. I have to start my Christmas shopping soon. I usually have it done by now but this year I'm a little behind. I will be making some of them like for friends and families and a Yankee Swap we'll be going to, but as far as my boys they won't appreciate a hand stamped item not at the ages of 15 and 13. I haven't got a clue what to get them this time around. It's so much harder as they get older. Well it's late. Until next time

Well here is at least one card that I said I would be uploading. I have a few more but it doesn't want to let me upload any others. My icon didn't do anything, you know the insert photo or image one. It let me do the first one but not the others, I guess I'm over my limit. lol I'll try again later. I wander i it's because I switched to Beta, which I was kin of skeptical about when it came to switching over.

A productive Weekend

Well this weekend was a very productive weekend, I finally got to stamp. I made 7 Christmas cards. It was so nice. My husband went to visit his daughter in sommerville and my boys were at their dad's for the weekend. I had the house to myself. I put on Celine Dion's Christmas cd and went to work. I thouroughly enjoyed this. I have 11 cards made now, still need to do a lot more and definitely need to get to my name frames and gifts for Christmas. I need to upload some art work my pages are looking boring without other colors. I have plenty from this weekend to upload but I hate uploading and scanning it just takes so long. Wish there was an easier way to do this or wish I was better at this. I will soon be adding some of my work.

What's up with the new features with blogger ? I'd like to update it but I don't have a Google account and I don't want to lose my blog if I have to create a Google account. If I create a Google account will my blog be lost? Here we go again just when I learn how, it changes and it takes me awhile to figure out how to do things. I still haven't even figured out how to do links in my side bar, I would like to have links, maybe someday I'll figure it out until I do my blog will be without links. I've read the directions and can't get it to happen. Well gota go. Have a good night. Til next time.

Whoo hoo !

No school tomorrow, and no test to study for, I just might get a chance to stamp tonight. Only about four more weeks and the semester will over. My life will resume some sort of normalness after all the craziness I had this month. I never thought that it would be this hard.

I think I will start a few Christmas cards tonight because Christmas is coming fast. Just think Thanksgiving is only like two in a half weeks away. So whats everyone's plans for the upcoming holiday? We are going to be at my sister-in-laws. My husband has a good size family so there should be plenty of people. I kind of miss cooking myself because I like to have left overs, when we go to other people's houses we never get to take any leftovers, so I think I'll cook up a small turkey with all the trimmings so we are able to have leftovers for turkey sandwiches and such.

Also in November I will be having a technique class. Usually the last Sun of each month. Not sure I will do one in Dec. yet because everyone gets so busy. I would like to do something in Dec, but don't know what. If any ideas send me a comment. I would love some suggestions for a holiday stamp something or other.Gonna go my son needs the computer and I need to take advantage of this time for stamping. I hope the inspiration isn't lost because it's been so long since I've been able to stamp for myself. Til next time.
