September

Well the kids are fully back in school now and both seem to be enjoying it for now. Not much happening on the creative part. I just had a class on Sun and we made the folder with the 5 cards inside it that was posted earlier. My next class will be Sun Oct 7 and we will be comcentrating on Halloween cards and bag toppers. The technique we will be focusing on is masking, which I find myself, to be kind of a confusing technique.
My older son just got his permit, now the fun begins lol. He failed the first time so he was very nervous re-taking the test again but did it. Now I'll have to put aside some time to take him driving, I don't know if I can do that, take him driving I mean, I'm afraid that I will make him more nervous especially if I am jumpy with his driving. I don't know what I'll do, another guy that works with us said he would take him, maybe that will be easier on evryone. We'll see. Already the middle of Sept, the holidays are going to be creeping up on us soon, I can't believe it. The days are getting darker earlier and the temps are starting to feel like Fall. I love early fall, it's still fairly warm during the day but evenings are getting cooler, there are even some trees that have alrady started changing. Well got to go, just figured I would update a bit, I will be uploaing some of the work that I will be creating in th next few months. Thanks for visiting and til next time.

Bay Queen Stamping Cruise

Hi Everyone,

Just went on a wonderful venture yesterday. My SU upline had a get together on a Brunch Cruise ship over to Newport RI. We left from Warren RI and cruised to Newport where we were able to spend a couple of hours looking and shopping through the many shops that were there. On the way over, it's about an hour in a half, we had the most delicious brunch from scramble eggs ,to a rice and chicken dish, muffins ,mini pastries, sausage, Ham, some kind of a julienne potatos, bread puding , oj and coffee. We shared a table with other stampers and just talked and laughed and had a good time. Once back on the ship from our shopping endeavors, it was time for some serious stamping we made this folder with five note cards inside. It was a lot of fun. This is the folder that held our note cards.

No Inspiration

Hi

Haven't made any cards recently, I just haven't had that inspiration kick yet. Hopefully I will soon again. I'm just so tired lately. I did get a chance to go to the beach last week that was nice, althuogh it rained on Monday all day so we went shopping and got to see the movie Hairspray which was so good, A very happy and upbeat movie, on the other hand I got the last book of Harry Potter and have been reading that. It's really good, saw the 5th movie and thought that was good also. Today we are in severe thunderstorm warnings too. We've had a lot of rain this summer. Thats what I've been up to lately besides work, not much going on here or in my life at the moment. Really want to be less tired and more creative, hopefully ideas will start kicking in soon and then I'll be uploading more cards. Thanks for visiting, til next time.

Birhday card for my brother

Hi Everyone,
This is a birthday card I made for my brother. The colors were chosen by using the SCS color challenge of night of Navy, Not Quite Navy ,Mellow Moss, Bordering Blue and WW. I didn't have Bordering Blue or Not Quite Navy so I had to improvise a little. I used Buckaroo Blue to replace the Bordering Blue and the Not Quite Navy. It was cased but don't remember from who sorry.
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Sincere Salutations
Inks: Always Artichoke, and Night Of Navy
Cardstock: Night Of Navy, Mellow Moss, Buckaroo Blue,an WW.
Accessories: Eyelets in Sahara Sand, colored the image in with SU pastels. Ticket Corner Punch. Very easy card to make and a masculine card too which I was shooting for.
Well Got to go got to get up early for work tomorrow, so glad I only have to work 4 hours and then I can leave, unfortunately I have to get my car inspected it's due this month. I hate doing it ,it's always nerve wracking, gotta sit there an wonder if it's gonna pass this year. Thanks for visiting. Til next time.

A new card

Hey everyone,

How's it going? I got a chance to stamp and this is what I came up with. I wanted to use red white and blue because it is July but I didn't have a patriotic stamp set so decided to use this one. It's been an interesting week for me this week. We we're kitty sitting a niece's cat. He came on Wed. and stayed til Sat. He was' nt happy staying the first night, needless to say our cat wasn't thrilled either, so they hissed at each other for awhile and eventually just ended up at opposite ends of the house. By Fri they were able to withstand each other in the same room.

I'm really excited I'm going to get to go on vacation for a couple of days next week. I haven't been on one in about three years. I will be going to Maine. I hope we have nice weather.

Here are the supplies I used on this card.
Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley, Flexible Phrases.

Ink: Nigt O Navy, Real Red, and Craft Wisper White

Cardstock: Real Red ,Night of Navy and WW

Accessories: Square Step Punch and Real Red Grosgrain ribbon.
All supplies are SU

Help How o I fix th picture to fit in

Hi,

Just noticed that my purple card didn't fit on the page, I tried to fix it but couldn't if anyone does know how ,I would appreciate any help on how to do this. This is me having a lack of computer knowledge. Anyways thanks.

Some More cards

Hi Everyone,

Here are a couple of more cards that I did the other night. Lately I've had time to stamp, I'm surprised. This is the one that gave me so many problems the other night. I started with it and then didn't know what else to do. Nothing fancy but this is what I ended up with. Easy card.

Stamps: Doodle This, Hugs and Wishes

Inks: Vintage Violet

Cardstock: Vintage Violet, Almost Amethyst, and WW.

Accessories: Scallop punch from local craft store,Violet stitched ribbon SU

The one on the left I made last night. I'm not one that uses the bold bright colors much but was pleased with the way this one came out.
Stamps: Looks Like Spring, Hugs and Wishes
Inks:Tempting Turquoise, Versa Mark
Cardstock: YoYo Yellow, Orchid Opulance, and WW
Accessories: Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Square Step Punch, Many marvelous Markers, Stampin Pastels
Technique: that was used was poppin pastels
This Technique is easy. First stamp the image in Versa Mark in this case the flowers on my WW paper, then take the pastels with a q -tip or the sponge daubers and color right over the versa mark this makes the image pop. This technique gives a slightly different look than coloring with just the pastels.
Now to get ready for my Christmas In July workshop going on July 15. I've ordered some supplies for this, I hope they show up in time, with the holiday, I fear they will be backed up, I'll have to go with an alternate plan if that ends up being the case. We will be making a Christmas card and some gift tags. I'll be playing Christmas music and even a little Christmas tree, I,ll have Christmas gifts as door prizes. There will be some refreshments.
I don't do many workshops I usually do two a year myself The Christmas In July and then the other usually around sale-a-bration time, other than that I do classes once a month at my home, We focus on different techniques and some projects and once in awhile a scrapbook page. I don't have many people that are into scrapbooking. My new Year's resolution was to do more scrapbook pages but my customers aren't into that much, I myself would like to do more scrapbooking for this is one of my least strong points. Well moving along I ope veryon has a ggod week. Thanks for visiting, til next tim.

Forgotten Mother's Day Card

Well I guess it's been a while since I've posted anything here. I never seem to have a lot to say. This is a Mother's Day card I had made for my mother in law but my absent minded husband forgot to take it and present it to her with her plant. So it's been sitting here for awhile, can't use it for anything else for it says Happy Mother's Day inside and mother on the outside. I guess we'll just have to save it for next year.

Not much to say, I just got finished making decorative paper clips. This was the first time I made them. They came out kind of cute. I will make a point to upload them sometime soon. We'll be making them this Sunday, depending on the weather. We're suppose to be in for a big storm this weekend I think starting Sunday so the class may be cancelled, we'll have to play it by ear.

School vacation starts here for the kids, it will be a welcoming brake from the monotney. I won't have to rush them out the door, they will be able to sleep. I'll have to work, but it will still be easier than when they need to get to school. Well got to go, it's getting late and I needto be in for 6:00 am tomorrow. Have a good night, til next time

April 12th

Well, here it is April 12th and can you believe we're getting snow and sleet and it's cold. We're in for another storm on Monday. The kids were disappointed because they had to go to school.
Anyways here is a card that we did when I went to a meeting in Rhode Island. I like the colors together. I was thinking on doing this at my class this Sunday but using the flower from All The Best instead because I don't own that set. Although I only have one person attending at the moment so I don't know whether to cancel it or just do the class. I think this would be pretty as a Mother's Day card.
I've been doing a lot of stamping but none to put here because I sent them out already and forgot to upload them before sending them out. Hopefully I can stamp some more and corat my blog, also I rally nd to update this more often.
