Another card while playing around

Here is another card I was playing around with. Love this stamp set, don't know what to do with it so with a little help from Su Connection, I cased this one also I changed the colors, used the scallop sq. punch and stuck a piece of DSP on before the film strip. Thanks so much for the inspiration whom ever I cased from. My own inspiration has been hiding lately, hopefully I get it back soon.

Snowy Mon

Hello everyone,

Well it's Mon. and we are in the middle of getting a lot of snow dumped on us. I was up early and got everything done by 10:00 am so decided it would be a good day to do some stamping, nothing special, not preparing anything for a class just thought I'd play and this is one of the cards I came across in the SCS gallery,I cased this but changed the colors. The colors came from a Cd case I had called Celtic Women "Songs of The heart" I love the Celtic women their music is so beautiful it's like taking a step back in time in Ireland when I see them perform. In fact we will be seeing them in Mandhester NH at the Verizon Wireless arena on Feb 28th, can't wait. I believe the card was made by Ocicat. I'm not sure if that was the name.

Long week

Hello everyone!

It's been a long week. I have been sick since Thurs with some sore throat and no voice thing. My voice still isn't at full potential but at least the sore throat thing is better. Had to cancel my Valentine's Day class because of it so I postponed it til Sat. Feb 6th. My house is a mess at least the kids and my hubbywere good about cooking, or bringing out the dog so they were all a help. my older son picked up the younger one a couple of times, but I haven't been able to work on things I do still need to upload a few things which I will be doing soon. It's February so that's a good thing winter is going by. Not much else to report so til next time. Thanks for visiting.

Monday Morning

Hello Everyone,

Well it's Monday morning and it's very rainy out,but at least it's warm. I know I'm a little late to get on board with this, but i spent a good part of my morning playing with the Big Shot, which kind of intimidated me,but I got a chance to play and practice, I used the extended cutting pads and the texturz plate with the silicone rubber and the text. plate. I made a box with the Fancy Favor big diez, cutting it wasnt bad but they should have mentioned that you need to use the 12x12 cardstock with this particular diez because the 81/2 x 11 doesn,t fit, I guess I should have known that by the measurements but as I said i'm a little intimidated by this machine, folding it was a little more challenging, but I eventually got it. I have a class using the Big Shot in March and want to be comfortable using it. It's been a productive morning as far as creating but now I have to get to the house stuff and pick up my son from school soon. I will put up the things I made when I figure out how to upload a 3 dimensional project.LOL. Thanks for visiting, til next time.

January just about gone?

Hi everyone!

I can't believe that January is almost gone! This month went by really fast. Not much going on here. My older son just went back to college this week after a month break and my younger son just finished mid terms. My hubby and I took the opportunity to go to the moveis last night. We went to see Avatar in 3D. We wanted to see what all the fuss was they won a few awards the other night.I actually liked it but it was a little long in parts, my hubby just said it was drawn out.The special effects were amazing! I'm glad I saw it on the big screen I don't think it would be the same on just a television screen.
I have my samples done for our February class and will be posting them soon. Check back soon. Thanks for visiting, til next time.

Sale-A-Bration Workshop

Hey everyone!

Not much going on at the home front, it did reach like 42 degrees, it's a heat wave. lol. Been playing with my new SAB sets Good Neighbor and Whimisical Words and getting ready for my SAB workshop I am having on Sun. We'll be doing 1 6x6 scrapbook pg. and two cards using the two SAB sets. Also been working on projects for my technique class on the 31st of this month. I am actually way ahead of my self with having the project samples done before each class or workshop, Im happy about that.
I actually got my scanner going also and will be able to post my cards and projects soon, we lost a lot of the original stuff that went with the scanner so I have to upload a little differently than I did before and I need to figure it out . Look for samples soon. I may even get some pics up. We'll see. Thanks for stopping by til next time.

It's still here!

My blog that is. Hi everyone, I've been way out of the loop it's been over a year since I've done this.I had my computer completely cleaned because we had got a really bad virus and needed to have it removed and on top of getting the virus removed they had to clean out all my info and of coarse I didn't have a back up disc,so I'm surprised this blog is still here. A lot has happened since the last post.
We moved from Leominster to Fitchburg, I have another new grandchild and I have a new niece who lives in Arizona. This new year hasn't started out too bad. I have one child in Highschool now and the other a student at Quinnsigamond community college, one son who has been driving the other now in the process of driving. We had our beautiful calico cat named Molly who has been with us for 7 years and we now have a terrier mix dog 5 in a half years old name Max who has joined our family. Needless to say the cat and dog do not get along, Max lives downstairs and Molly resides upstairs ocassionally they pass each other by and it's not good. I keep hoping that maybe they'll eventually get along.
I'm still stamping and I hold SU events every month ,I don't have my scanner working anymore at the moment but I do have a new digital camera which I have to figure out how to upload pics to this blog from so there won't be any pics of my cards or projects til I learn how to do that. I guess my son will have to give a crash coarse in that.LOL I am on facebook. Hopefully this year I can keep up better than last. we'll see. Til next time.

Almost a year since I've blogged on here?

Hi Everyone,

Wow it's been a long time, It's been a busy year, no longer in school, both boys are now in High School and one even has his license, can't believe it. I've been stamping often between pen pals Braks and the classes I hold every month, it's been keeping me busy. I work at a restaurant as a waitress and on weekends I cook out back.
Can't believe we are in the middle of October and the holidays aren't too far away. I'm in the process of making candy bags and Halloween toppers for my regular customers at the restaurant, started some Christmas cards, then there are projects for my stamp group calendars and name frames all on my dining room table, this is where I stamp. Would love to some day have a room for my stamping. But until then My dining room table is always a mess, good thing I don't entertain or need it to eat dinner on, we use the kitchen table for that. Hopefully I will be able to blog more and get some of my stuff on it, if I can remember how that is.LOL. Til next time.

What's up

Hello Everyone,

Well it certainly has been a while since I've blogged, It's been tough getting a turn on the computer lately with the two teens.Things that have been going on, well Ive been stamping but really haven't uploaded anything recently. My older son is now learning to drive and I've been taking him out on the roads, We went to see the musical Wicked 2 weeks ago, it was awsome, everyone enjoyed it, but now it's gonna give me a different perspective on the Wizard Of Oz. I went with my mom and three teenagers, then we went to eat after. It was a beautiful day in Boston. Two weeks from now we will be going to Boston again to see the musical White Christmas, I am a real theater buff when I get the chance. I love musicals. I've had a stamping class this past Sunday, we stamped on candles, they came out really nice, I'll have to take a picture an then scan it to upload it, first I have to get new batteries for my digital camera. It will probably be awhile before I get that one uploaded.
Halloween was quiet here, my kids are beyond the age of trick or treat so we just headed to the mall to watch all the others kids in their costumes, there were some real cute and new ones out this year, then came back to watch a movie and have some pizza.
I got some Christmas shopping done, I like to get the bulk of it out of the way before the real season gets here. I have only 17 Christmas cards made an I need about 30 so I betta get moving on that, also I made Hallowen candy bags for the people at work and some of the customers and ran out, I need to make more than what I made for Halloween for Christmas, I made 25 for Halloween. I need to get those started so I'm not rushing around last minute. Thanksgiving is only about two weeks away, I can't believe it, I'll be working in the morning, but we'll be out by 12:00pm so w can have our dinner, I don't usually cook, I'll bring something and we go to my brother's house this year. As you can see there will be lots to keep me busy and don't know when I'll get another turn on the computer, Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday if I don't get back on before then, thanks for visiting and til next time take care.

September

Well the kids are fully back in school now and both seem to be enjoying it for now. Not much happening on the creative part. I just had a class on Sun and we made the folder with the 5 cards inside it that was posted earlier. My next class will be Sun Oct 7 and we will be comcentrating on Halloween cards and bag toppers. The technique we will be focusing on is masking, which I find myself, to be kind of a confusing technique.
My older son just got his permit, now the fun begins lol. He failed the first time so he was very nervous re-taking the test again but did it. Now I'll have to put aside some time to take him driving, I don't know if I can do that, take him driving I mean, I'm afraid that I will make him more nervous especially if I am jumpy with his driving. I don't know what I'll do, another guy that works with us said he would take him, maybe that will be easier on evryone. We'll see. Already the middle of Sept, the holidays are going to be creeping up on us soon, I can't believe it. The days are getting darker earlier and the temps are starting to feel like Fall. I love early fall, it's still fairly warm during the day but evenings are getting cooler, there are even some trees that have alrady started changing. Well got to go, just figured I would update a bit, I will be uploaing some of the work that I will be creating in th next few months. Thanks for visiting and til next time.
