I need to get my Christmas cards started. I have a couple but I need to bang out a lot more. Last year I had them done by now. I also need to make at least three more name plaques for Christmas presents. So much to do. Sunday I have a stamping technique class which I won't probably start preparing for until Sat after work. It never ends. I study for at least 6-8 hrs a day for tests and then we have been getting two tests on the same day. What are th professors thinking. The stress is really getting to me. I Can't Believe

I can't believe it is the end of September already. Boy! time as flown. Fall is here and we will be changing our clocks at the end of October. You can see the Fall coming in. The leaves are turning colors already. I think the folliage will be early this year. I hope it lasts for awhile. The trees are so beautiful at this time, but sometimes when the folliage comes early, it doesn't last as long.

Remember that String technique card that I was doing? Well here it is I finally uploaded it. For some reason it takes a couple of times before it actually loads. Any one else have that problem? Probably not it's just me and my not being computer savy.Anyways I like the way the background looks on this one, my first try one was kind of splotched ( I don't even know if thats a real word) but I like it.

I used three pieces of string and three coordinating re-inker colors of Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, and Only Orange. I put some re-iker into 3 different containers and dipped each piece of string using gloves on my hands so they would 'nt get messy, placed my white cs in between a sheet of scrap paper placed the string on my cardstock, held down the scrap paper with my cs and string in between, Pulled the string out from between the scrap paper, letting the string drag on it's way out. It came out looking kinda like a spin art. Some of the other ladies got like a flower design. It's neat how each one came out with a different look for their background. The cs I used for this card was Pumpkin Pie, Green Galore, and black of coarse.

Well it's been great to blog but I need to get some heavy duty studying in because I have 4 Tests/quizes next week Yuk! wish me luck. Til next time. Have a nice week.

Mid week

It's been awhile again. I had a wonderful weekend. It was nice to o something different for a change. Sat my hubby and I went out to the movies with friends. We went to see Hollywood Land. It was pretty good of coarse it left you wondering at the end considering that the mystery was never solved, then we went to dinner. Sunday I got to see Cirdue Du Solie corteo version in Suffolk Down. This show is fabulous. I have never seen anything like it. It's hard to describe also. It was acrobatics, gymnastics, ballet, singing and lots of ariel acts. It was just so good . We went with a bunch of people. It was nice to kick up my heels and enjoy with no stress attached.

It's been so hectic. I'm in school full time and the work just never ends. I read do homework and study at last 3-4 hours a day most of the time more. I still have to work an I have kids who still need me. It's just so hard.

I finally got to stamp. I made a Hallowen card but only one because I had to leave to pick up my son at school. I really want to stamp a little more. I need to because I have classs to get set up for, I just have no time. I may have to cut back on my SU business, I really hate to because I don't have a huge following. I wish it was going better then I would only have to rely on that rather than woking outsid besides going to school. Anyways I better go. Leave comments or suggestions it would be nice to know if others are reading and experienceing some of the same things.Until next time.

Made It Through

Hi Everyone,

Well I made it through my first 2 days of school. Yesterday was my first day. I was sooo nervous. It turnd out to be sort of fun. Today was my first class, not as fun. It was so overwhelming. The pofessors just kind of threw papers and power points at us. I don't even know what books go with what class yet. People told me that Hygiene school was tough, well they were right. Next week will be a full week of classes, Hopefully it gets less confusing, I'm really going to have to be organized, not one of my strong points. Tomorrow is my first preclinic lab in radiology. Should be interesting.

Now I'm going to try and upload a photo into my profile. Won't gaurentee it will work. I'm feeling a little bit more comfortable about uploading. Still need to work on getting those links into the side bar though. Also I would like to get a web counter on this, got to figure out where to get those on the web. I would like a free one obviously.
Well til next time.

2 Wild Roses

This was made while playing around with one of my new stamp sets. I made this because my step daughter is pregnant and has been really sick and I wanted to send this out to let her know I was thinking of her and hope that she would feel better real soon. I liked the way it came out so I'm using this for my Technique class using Faux Linen on the roses.

e Long Weekend

Well the long weekend went by. It was a pretty good one kind of quiet. Yesterday my step daughter and her boyfriend came down and wanted to take us out for dinner her father, my husband for his birthday which isn't til the end of the month but they don't know when they'll be back this way again. It was a nice time.

Today I'll be running around trying to get immunization records because I start school tomorrow full time. I'm such a nervous wreck. I've been going to school for about 5 years one coarse a semester now I finally got into the program and it will be two years full time. I still gotta get my books which I will do this week . I'm just sooo nervous.

Didn't get any stamping done over the long weekend. I'm hoping to do some later. I need to prepare for a Technique Class I'm having soon and I need to prepare for my Stamp-A-Stack of Chritmas cards that I'll be doing. Until next time.

Friday, September 01, 2006

Well here it is Sept. 1, unbelivable how time flies. The kids are back in school. There were some really glum faces on the first day of school. But both the boys seem to like their teachers so far, especially the 13 year old. Lets see how long that lasts. The nights are getting shorter. I hate watching the nights get shorter, I am a summer gal although I love the early Fall, ya know before it gets too cold. I am a whimp when it comes to cold weather. I know I'm in th wrong state.

Any ways I'll be working on this blog thing , still working on it. I am learning. I've tried to add links but can't seem to get the hang of it. But hey I couldn't upload pictures a week ago and now look at my page, I have pictures, thats exciting. I hope this post goes up, I lost on describing the card that I uploaed tonight. Anyway that card below was a card we did at the technique class. It was the Kissing Technique.

This is still a fairly new experience,"blogging" I enjoy reading the others you guys are just so much further along and you seem to know what your really doing, unlike myself. Til the next time. Enjoy.
The fall card is the Kissing Technique that we learned with my group on Sunday. Pretty simple card

This is a name frame that I made for a Christmas present for the boys' father and his wife.

Hurray I uploaded another picture. Maybe I'm getting the hang of this after all.
Hi,

Well another weekend gone by and school is about to begin. Where did the summer go? It's been a pretty busy weekend. I workd ,one of my son's had a Birthday party he had to be at and of coarse he was late because I was late getting out of work.

I had a stamping technnique class yesterday. A good time was had by all. we used glitter which was very messy and a pockt card. They all liked that. Then we did an easy fall card. Hopefully at some point I will upload them. I'm having a hard time with the uploading part. I uploaded one and it worked but then I tried to upload a couple of more and couldn't do it. I know I'm missing a step because my screen doesn't come back to the part that has all the info on it. Oh well I'll have to keep trying that last upload happned by mistake I guess.

The fish card is one of the cards we made at my last class. it included dry embossing

Hi,

It's me again. I figured out how to fix my blog description, so it looks better and makes more sense. I had the wrong info under my title. I'm still learnig basically by trial and error . It's going to be a long work in progress, now if only I can figure out where my photo ended up because it's not on my blog also how to add some links under links. Back to more reading and trial and error. I sure hope this ends up where it's suppose to.

hi,

Can you tell that I have no idea of what I'm doing. I tried to do my first post and it ended up in the title area. I wanted it to be in the blank spot where this is now. I have no idea how to get it off from under my title. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
