What's up

Hello Everyone,

Well it certainly has been a while since I've blogged, It's been tough getting a turn on the computer lately with the two teens.Things that have been going on, well Ive been stamping but really haven't uploaded anything recently. My older son is now learning to drive and I've been taking him out on the roads, We went to see the musical Wicked 2 weeks ago, it was awsome, everyone enjoyed it, but now it's gonna give me a different perspective on the Wizard Of Oz. I went with my mom and three teenagers, then we went to eat after. It was a beautiful day in Boston. Two weeks from now we will be going to Boston again to see the musical White Christmas, I am a real theater buff when I get the chance. I love musicals. I've had a stamping class this past Sunday, we stamped on candles, they came out really nice, I'll have to take a picture an then scan it to upload it, first I have to get new batteries for my digital camera. It will probably be awhile before I get that one uploaded.
Halloween was quiet here, my kids are beyond the age of trick or treat so we just headed to the mall to watch all the others kids in their costumes, there were some real cute and new ones out this year, then came back to watch a movie and have some pizza.
I got some Christmas shopping done, I like to get the bulk of it out of the way before the real season gets here. I have only 17 Christmas cards made an I need about 30 so I betta get moving on that, also I made Hallowen candy bags for the people at work and some of the customers and ran out, I need to make more than what I made for Halloween for Christmas, I made 25 for Halloween. I need to get those started so I'm not rushing around last minute. Thanksgiving is only about two weeks away, I can't believe it, I'll be working in the morning, but we'll be out by 12:00pm so w can have our dinner, I don't usually cook, I'll bring something and we go to my brother's house this year. As you can see there will be lots to keep me busy and don't know when I'll get another turn on the computer, Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday if I don't get back on before then, thanks for visiting and til next time take care.

September

Well the kids are fully back in school now and both seem to be enjoying it for now. Not much happening on the creative part. I just had a class on Sun and we made the folder with the 5 cards inside it that was posted earlier. My next class will be Sun Oct 7 and we will be comcentrating on Halloween cards and bag toppers. The technique we will be focusing on is masking, which I find myself, to be kind of a confusing technique.
My older son just got his permit, now the fun begins lol. He failed the first time so he was very nervous re-taking the test again but did it. Now I'll have to put aside some time to take him driving, I don't know if I can do that, take him driving I mean, I'm afraid that I will make him more nervous especially if I am jumpy with his driving. I don't know what I'll do, another guy that works with us said he would take him, maybe that will be easier on evryone. We'll see. Already the middle of Sept, the holidays are going to be creeping up on us soon, I can't believe it. The days are getting darker earlier and the temps are starting to feel like Fall. I love early fall, it's still fairly warm during the day but evenings are getting cooler, there are even some trees that have alrady started changing. Well got to go, just figured I would update a bit, I will be uploaing some of the work that I will be creating in th next few months. Thanks for visiting and til next time.

Bay Queen Stamping Cruise

Hi Everyone,

Just went on a wonderful venture yesterday. My SU upline had a get together on a Brunch Cruise ship over to Newport RI. We left from Warren RI and cruised to Newport where we were able to spend a couple of hours looking and shopping through the many shops that were there. On the way over, it's about an hour in a half, we had the most delicious brunch from scramble eggs ,to a rice and chicken dish, muffins ,mini pastries, sausage, Ham, some kind of a julienne potatos, bread puding , oj and coffee. We shared a table with other stampers and just talked and laughed and had a good time. Once back on the ship from our shopping endeavors, it was time for some serious stamping we made this folder with five note cards inside. It was a lot of fun. This is the folder that held our note cards.

No Inspiration

Hi

Haven't made any cards recently, I just haven't had that inspiration kick yet. Hopefully I will soon again. I'm just so tired lately. I did get a chance to go to the beach last week that was nice, althuogh it rained on Monday all day so we went shopping and got to see the movie Hairspray which was so good, A very happy and upbeat movie, on the other hand I got the last book of Harry Potter and have been reading that. It's really good, saw the 5th movie and thought that was good also. Today we are in severe thunderstorm warnings too. We've had a lot of rain this summer. Thats what I've been up to lately besides work, not much going on here or in my life at the moment. Really want to be less tired and more creative, hopefully ideas will start kicking in soon and then I'll be uploading more cards. Thanks for visiting, til next time.

Birhday card for my brother

Hi Everyone,
This is a birthday card I made for my brother. The colors were chosen by using the SCS color challenge of night of Navy, Not Quite Navy ,Mellow Moss, Bordering Blue and WW. I didn't have Bordering Blue or Not Quite Navy so I had to improvise a little. I used Buckaroo Blue to replace the Bordering Blue and the Not Quite Navy. It was cased but don't remember from who sorry.
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Sincere Salutations
Inks: Always Artichoke, and Night Of Navy
Cardstock: Night Of Navy, Mellow Moss, Buckaroo Blue,an WW.
Accessories: Eyelets in Sahara Sand, colored the image in with SU pastels. Ticket Corner Punch. Very easy card to make and a masculine card too which I was shooting for.
Well Got to go got to get up early for work tomorrow, so glad I only have to work 4 hours and then I can leave, unfortunately I have to get my car inspected it's due this month. I hate doing it ,it's always nerve wracking, gotta sit there an wonder if it's gonna pass this year. Thanks for visiting. Til next time.

A new card

Hey everyone,

How's it going? I got a chance to stamp and this is what I came up with. I wanted to use red white and blue because it is July but I didn't have a patriotic stamp set so decided to use this one. It's been an interesting week for me this week. We we're kitty sitting a niece's cat. He came on Wed. and stayed til Sat. He was' nt happy staying the first night, needless to say our cat wasn't thrilled either, so they hissed at each other for awhile and eventually just ended up at opposite ends of the house. By Fri they were able to withstand each other in the same room.

I'm really excited I'm going to get to go on vacation for a couple of days next week. I haven't been on one in about three years. I will be going to Maine. I hope we have nice weather.

Here are the supplies I used on this card.
Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley, Flexible Phrases.

Ink: Nigt O Navy, Real Red, and Craft Wisper White

Cardstock: Real Red ,Night of Navy and WW

Accessories: Square Step Punch and Real Red Grosgrain ribbon.
All supplies are SU

Help How o I fix th picture to fit in

Hi,

Just noticed that my purple card didn't fit on the page, I tried to fix it but couldn't if anyone does know how ,I would appreciate any help on how to do this. This is me having a lack of computer knowledge. Anyways thanks.

Some More cards

Hi Everyone,

Here are a couple of more cards that I did the other night. Lately I've had time to stamp, I'm surprised. This is the one that gave me so many problems the other night. I started with it and then didn't know what else to do. Nothing fancy but this is what I ended up with. Easy card.

Stamps: Doodle This, Hugs and Wishes

Inks: Vintage Violet

Cardstock: Vintage Violet, Almost Amethyst, and WW.

Accessories: Scallop punch from local craft store,Violet stitched ribbon SU

The one on the left I made last night. I'm not one that uses the bold bright colors much but was pleased with the way this one came out.
Stamps: Looks Like Spring, Hugs and Wishes
Inks:Tempting Turquoise, Versa Mark
Cardstock: YoYo Yellow, Orchid Opulance, and WW
Accessories: Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Square Step Punch, Many marvelous Markers, Stampin Pastels
Technique: that was used was poppin pastels
This Technique is easy. First stamp the image in Versa Mark in this case the flowers on my WW paper, then take the pastels with a q -tip or the sponge daubers and color right over the versa mark this makes the image pop. This technique gives a slightly different look than coloring with just the pastels.
Now to get ready for my Christmas In July workshop going on July 15. I've ordered some supplies for this, I hope they show up in time, with the holiday, I fear they will be backed up, I'll have to go with an alternate plan if that ends up being the case. We will be making a Christmas card and some gift tags. I'll be playing Christmas music and even a little Christmas tree, I,ll have Christmas gifts as door prizes. There will be some refreshments.
I don't do many workshops I usually do two a year myself The Christmas In July and then the other usually around sale-a-bration time, other than that I do classes once a month at my home, We focus on different techniques and some projects and once in awhile a scrapbook page. I don't have many people that are into scrapbooking. My new Year's resolution was to do more scrapbook pages but my customers aren't into that much, I myself would like to do more scrapbooking for this is one of my least strong points. Well moving along I ope veryon has a ggod week. Thanks for visiting, til next tim.

Forgotten Mother's Day Card

Well I guess it's been a while since I've posted anything here. I never seem to have a lot to say. This is a Mother's Day card I had made for my mother in law but my absent minded husband forgot to take it and present it to her with her plant. So it's been sitting here for awhile, can't use it for anything else for it says Happy Mother's Day inside and mother on the outside. I guess we'll just have to save it for next year.

Not much to say, I just got finished making decorative paper clips. This was the first time I made them. They came out kind of cute. I will make a point to upload them sometime soon. We'll be making them this Sunday, depending on the weather. We're suppose to be in for a big storm this weekend I think starting Sunday so the class may be cancelled, we'll have to play it by ear.

School vacation starts here for the kids, it will be a welcoming brake from the monotney. I won't have to rush them out the door, they will be able to sleep. I'll have to work, but it will still be easier than when they need to get to school. Well got to go, it's getting late and I needto be in for 6:00 am tomorrow. Have a good night, til next time

I was thinking on doing this at my class this Sunday but using the flower from All The Best instead because I don't own that set. Although I only have one person attending at the moment so I don't know whether to cancel it or just do the class. I think this would be pretty as a Mother's Day card.

First SAS

Hi everyone,

I just had my first SAS last weekend. It went well. Everyone was happy with the 8 birthday cards and envelopes that they went home with. I wish that more could have attended. But we did have fun anyway. I set up four projects at a time and then had a break for refreshments while I set up the next four birthday cards. Most of these were cased with a few changes, some no changes I will try to upload some of them soon. I wanted to keep the cards simple.
This past weekend I went to Rhode Island to a quarterly meeting. It was fun. I learned a couple of things that I really am glad that I got a chance to learn like how to break down what to charge for classes that we put on . It was really ineresting. A lot of math though. I am going to try and do this for my classes. Also while I was there we made a card, an Easter egg, a squash book it's cute but it was difficult for me and a book that held envelopes so that we could put cards into to keep them togther.

Also this weekend my son was in the school play they did The High School Musical. The kids did a wonderful job all of them and I was proud of my son. The first night they had tech difficulties with the mic. We weren't able to hear well the first half, by the second half we could hear them beautifully. The second night was probably the best performance the kids really let themselves go, they were terrific the acting, singing and the enthusism was all there. Thanks for visiting, til next time have a great rest of the day.

I just added a guest book, please feel free to sign it, it's nice to know that people are visiting, and that I'm not just blogging to myself . I haven't any new cards yet but will soon. I'm prepaing for a Stamp A Stack soon and looks like I will have a good crowd lets hope the weather will coorperate. We've had a lot of freezing rain here lately.
The kids were really dissapointed this morning, we were getting a snowstorm and they were hoping for a day off from school but it didn't happen, they didn't even get a delay, although I thought they should have, it was pretty slippery this morning.
Well I guess I'll work on the last stamp a stack card that we are going to do, and then it's get cutting. Thanks for visiting and til next time.

The boss sent us home early. I was very happy, I hate driving in the snow. Coming home was horrible, I couldn't see out of my windows they kept freezing up and I was afraid to stop because of the cars behind me and pulling off to the side was scary as well. I finally made it home. The kids were home anyways. Now they'r hoping for no school tomorow too, don't think that is going to happen. The snow has pretty much ended now.Have a reat night thanks for visiting, til next time.

Valentine's Day Snowstorm?....

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe it, I think we are actually going to get some snow. I'll believe it when I see it. I really don't want to see it, not this time of the year anyways. I suppose it will be nice to have to stay home. A great time to stamp, we'll see. My boys are really hoping for it to come in then they'll have a snow day.

I have some preparing I could do for tomorrow. I have a stamping Technique class on Sunday, hopefully no snow there. I have one new girl joining us and possibly two more. I'm excited for that. I would love to see these classes grow a little. I love the ladies who have been coming right along. We have a good time, a lot of laughing and talking.

Valentine Workshop

Here is another Valentine we did at that workshop. This one took a little more time because of all the layers. It was more involved, more layers and more pieces.

Stamps used were beyond the basics, wee watercolors from one of the hostess sets a couple of years ago,Tags so much set all from SU, A heart stamp which I picked up from Michael's a long time ago bf becoming a SU Demo.

Inks use were Rose Red classic stamping pad from SU

Cardstock used were Glossy White, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, and Rose Red. SU

Accssories used were Got flowers from Target, Black gingham ribbon from a craft store, gold brads from SU.

Well Hello,

It's been a little while. I was suppose to go to class today but she cancelled it. It was a pleasant surprise so that gives me time to upload the cards we made at my Valentine's Day theme workshop from Sat which ended up pretty good considering we had a bit of snow that morning.

This is one of the cards we made. I love the combo of red and white and absolutely love the polka dots from the Polka Dots and Paisley set we recieved at Christmas time.

This card was made using shimmery white cardstock, love this paper, real red cs,
Ink was Real red spot and craft whisper white. Stamps used was polka Dots and paisley, loving hearts, red gingham ribbon, and the ticket punch. Very simple to make and not much mess. All proucts from Stampin' Up!

Just thoughts

It's been awhile, Haven't had much to talk a bout lately.I have a workshop tomorrow which is just about ready to go, cardstock has been cut an refrshments have been bought. I have three people that are coming, all RSVP's had to be in today. I had 5 that couldn't make it, and about 5 who didn't respond either way I will assume they aren't coming. A little discouraged. Well anyways the workshop will go on and we will be making 2 Valentine's Day cards and a Valentine's day topper to go onto a baggie filled with Hershey Kisses. I will post the pictures of our projects soon. Have a great night. Til next time

Dreary Day

Today is a dark dreary day and the weather is blah we' re due for freezing rain and sleet and boy is it cold. Today is an important ball game so we will be in tuned to the Patriots later on. Not really a football fan but I do like it when we start to get to the playoffs for the Superbowl, I guess you can call me a fair weather fan besides when you live with a husband and two boys you learn to enjoy the game. It's not so bad. It's a good day to stay in. Later I will do some stamping.

Tomorrow it's back to work . The kids are off from school so they get to sleep in lucky them. Hopefully th roads will be o.k. to travel on by tomorrow morning.

I'm expecting my big SU order tomorrow also, I hope it will still get to me. I can't wait. I'll be able to play after work possibly and then I have Tuesday off. Also I have a couple of 40% coupons for Michaels. I really want to get a cuttlebug with one of them and the other I could pick up a couple of the plates or folders that are used with it. Is it hard to work with? Any advice would be appreciated. I've seen so many beautiful creations using it . It kind of looks complicated.

I really want to get some things on my blog page also. I would love to have a calendar and still need to learn how to add links. I would love to put a photo in my profile also but have no clue how to. Tried it a few times but had no luck. Well time for kick off til next time, thanks for stopping by.

Stamping again an loving it.

We are into a week of the New Year and now it's time to focus on my Stampin' Up business again. It's an exciting time for Stampin' Up! It's sell-a-bration time this means a chance to recieve free product with every $50.00 purchase. You'll love the six sets to choose from.

My first workshop of the year will be January 27. for more info check out my SU web site at http://4everstampingpam.stampinup.net for times and place. It will be a lot of fun, we will be foccussing on Valentine's Day projects. I sure hope all my supplies come in on time or I will have to slightly change my ideas.

Well I have finally had time to stamp again. I'm so excited. Right now I am finishing up my step daughter's wedding photos that they had sent us. I always find scrapbooking a challenge, I'm not real quick to come up with ideas for this. I need practice. It taks me a long time to finish just one page. One of my New Year's Resolutions I think will be to start including a scrapbook page into some of my workshops and Technique classes that I hold once a month. Who knows maybe I'll reach some new people who would prefer to do scrap booking. Til next time, thanks for reading.

Playing wih colors and new stamp set

I got this stamp set for a Christmas present from SU and wanted to play. So this is what I came up with while playing with new set and experimenting with some colors. I think it came out pretty well considering I was just fiddling around while hubby watches the football games.

I used cool carribean, pink passion, black and glossy white cardstock. Ink was pink passion. Black gingham ribbon dimsionals all from SU. The prima was from Target. I love these primas. Need to get more. Pretty simple to create, cutting the panels took a little time but not too much.
Technique was DTP.

Hope you enjoy, thanks for visiting and ave a good night. Til next time.

High School Musical coming to Samost

Cool Well my son as been in auditions for High School musical which the samoset school in Leominster,Ma will be doing. He's been auditioning since Tues. Finally today they got the results. He tried out for the part of Ryan but didn't get that one but he did get the part of Zeek. He is thrilled and I'm so happy for him. He really needs this to boost his self esteem. He gets teasd and made fun of a lot in school from other kids and he has been depressed. He was a straight A student and his marks have gone down. Maybe this will help him get back on track. Here's hoping anyway. I'm just excited for him. Til next time.

Oh there's where my smiley ended up. I just tried to use Smiley Central. It' not exactly where I wanted it but it will do. I'll have to practice with hat a little more.

Happy New Year to all

Happy New Year!

The beginning of a New Year. I'm so excited because I just put in a big order to Stampin' Up this afternoon. It's like another Chistmas he he. Now I have to sit and wait, and from what I've read there is a slight delay on shipping, oh well.

Got some stamping time in last night. I love the polka dots and paisley stamp set that I recieved from SU. It's really versatile.

Went to Target tonight with my hubby because we had recieved a gift card for Christmas and we got some things, then I made the mistake of going into the scrapbooking section and found Primas. I was so excited. I didn't own any and loved them and was wandering where I could get some. Now I do own some. There were so many diferent colors in bottles it must have taken me a half hour to decide. I was narrowed down to the aquas, pale yellow, a lt green and a white or an olive green, burgandy, pink, and a rose. I chose the aquas, pale yellow, white, and lt green but then had second thoughts and just decided to get both lol. oh well. There are also some bright ones which i'm probably going to have to go back and get before they are gone.

Well just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Til next time.
